thoughts while reading the book: Radical Remission by Kelly A. Turner

The cleansing I am doing with my body right now is similar to how one would clean out a basement filled with mold. I have to clean it out my body the right way. I need to take MY time- and spend less time feeling overwhelmed. I need to change the conditions in which the mold/cancer thrives. Make a permanent change to my lifestyle.

According to Google: “On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact. And how long it takes a new habit to form can vary widely depending on the behavior, the person, and the circumstances. In Lally's study, it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for people to form a new habit.”

This is all a daily practice. Some days I mess up, and that’s okay. I used to feel really down on myself when I would break a fast or overdo my carb intake. I try again tomorrow. Nothing REALLY GOOD will be changed overnight. Worthwhile things take time and effort.
